Celtic Tattoos are characterized by their intricate decoration, sometimes delicate and small, some others slightly bolder. Perhaps this characteristic makes them more appealing for people who prefer tribal tattoos. There are many Celtic tattoos with tribal influence, based on abstract designs, existing in either the Celt heritage, or a modern creation of the tattoo artist.

Many Celtic Tattoos are influence by Nordic runes, which designs sometimes are confused. However, except if you are a purist, there is no reason to use rune designs as part of your Celtic design.
